As we continue to navigate our way through the COVID-19 crisis, it is important to remind all of our residents to not flush anything besides toilet paper down the toilet. This is something that should be practiced on a regular everyday basis, but it is especially important to remember this while there is a toilet paper shortage, and many people are constantly sanitizing surfaces with sanitizing wipes and/or paper towels. Not only can this be costly and difficult to deal with at sewage treatment facilities, this can also clog a homeowners drain and result in a costly bill from a plumber. Even wipes deemed "flushable" can cause problems.
Can and should go down the toilet: toilet paper, water, urine, feces
Should not go down the toilet: Paper towels, baby wipes, sanitizing wipes, rags, feminine products
Please do not flush anything besides toilet paper down the toilet. Toilets are not trash cans.
